Good evening everybody here is my wrap up from the key conference tilt between Dixon and Iberia last night.
Iberia at Dixon
The Dixon Bulldogs made a statement as they canned 1 three pointers and absolutely buried Iberia 98-68 in a game that would prove that Dixon was ready for their monster district over a Fatima as well as possibly win the Frisco League. In the first quarter I can honestly say that the Bulldogs would shoot d**n well as they would bury Iberia 28-13 because of their three point shooting and it was Dixon on top 28-13 after one. The second quarter would see Iberia respond to the first period as they would outscored Dxon 24-22 but Dixon was on top 50-37 at the break. In the third frame Dixon would come out and continue to hit their three pointers in the frame to lead it 83-58. In the final eight minutes Coach Phillips was able to clear his bench. Dixon would outscore them 15-12 over the last eight minutes. Dixon would blast an amazing 15 three pointers in this game.
Box Score
D Collin Holzer 27, Solomon Weider 27, Korey Burrow 24, Hayden Yoakum 12, Josh Parker 6, Joe Hardwick 2
I-Darrien Dickey 31, Issac Minnick 10, Dexter Frisbee 9, Ryan Voss 5, Tyler Slawson 5, Dustin Bloodgood 6, Fabien Juliano 2,
B-Game Iberia 87 60
The Iberia JV team would hand an 87-60 beating to the Rangers but here is the box score.
"We were able to get them sped tonight and I didn't think we would do that go of a job of making this one a scrambled game. We were able to do a lot of dribble kick and get our shooters in position to hit and i mean hit big. Tonight Korey (Burrow) was big as he hit seven threes tonight and as long as the others we came to play. We came out out ready to play in this one. Both Dixon and Iberia both brought their towns to this game and it was a big game atmospheric environment game for all. We were able to get them more spread then the firth two games and it worked great. But we want to be ready to be ready or Richland come Friday." Coach," Mike Phelps
I-Zach Roark 22, Riley Halley 16, Jason Winters 14, Lane Luttrell 14, Faben Juliano 6, Sam McKee 6, Colby Jones 4, Bennet Zink 3
D-Wes Shelton 14, Andrew Meier 11, Daniel Simpson 8, Hunter McCoy 6, Logan Kellogg 5, Trent Maxwell 2, Dylan Doyle 2, Bailey Solan 2, Tyrell Cirrincione 2
