Can't remember the final score but it was way north of 20-30 in favor of Dixon. Dixon had the three ball working early and often knocking down more than 15 threes. Iberia stayed in that same zone almost baiting them to keep shooting. Well that game plan did not work at all. Almost confusing why Scholfield didn't go man, or try something different. Iberia didn't have Dexter playing at his highest levels, and once again I will keep saying Iberia is vulnerable when only Darrien plays well. Which he did, he had to have had 30 or more, same goes for Collin who shot the lights out. Got to give Dixon and Coach Philips a lot of credit for coming out ready to play. I hope this is an eye opening experience for the role players on Scholfield's team. Having watched several games this year I can say that the roles players play lights out against lesser competition, but come up a little short in the bigger games. Congrats to Dixon again for coming up big in this deciding conference game.

The lack of any type of defensive rotation was what did in Iberia not their zone everybody was sagging in the lane and im sure with a 6'9" monster in the middle that isn't the plan.....if I were an Iberia fan/parent in the stands I would give a little bit of credit to Coach Scholfield Iberia is only 21-3 right now its just one game...and we already got one jumping off the edge. Its hard to beat a team three times ten to have to go to their gym.

Dixon did play well. I give Scholfield all the credit in the world for Iberia's amazing record this season. He has done a great job. And trust me I know coaching is the ultimate thankless job. But making adjustments is a big part of the game. Early in the season Iberia was slowing the game down and was dominating the defensive end. Now they are playing at a much faster pace which is allowing teams to hit open shots. I guess I am just old school, but a tough man to man defense with a huge guy in the middle is so hard to score against. I'm not jumping off the cliff if I was parent, but I would be concerned. In the tough games this year they are 5-3. Not the best record.

They didn't do anything different the they did against Dixon earlier in the year, they played their zone and was able to grind them out in the Frisco League Tournament game. Then at the Iberia Tournament they do the same thing and grind them out and realistically if they hit their free throws it doesn't go to overtime. Tonight they did the same with the zone there was no defensive rotation unlike the other two games. That is on the players and if you noticed they did play man a couple possessions of man early in the fourth and Dixon still scored. It was a total defensive let down and Dixon was able to dictate the tempo so give them the credit but Iberia is still 21-3 being that Iberia basketball five or six years ago was struggling to be competitive....I would just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Wins are because of great players, losses are because of bonehead coaches. That's what you'll always hear from people who don't know much about the game.

It was a defensive let down to say the least. What I'm saying is that Iberia hasn't played well in big games since early January when they beat Eugene. And chs02 ask any good coach, including Scholfield, what makes their team team successful. They will tell you it helps to have good players. You'll never hear a coach win a state championship say "through my amazing coaching I have created this talent." I've seen a lot more coaches screw up good teams than good coaches make amazing talent. I am in no way saying Coach Scholfield is a bad coach, his records clearly speak for themselves. I'm happy for Dixon and Coach Philips as they completely deserved this conference title.

Blah blah blah! Tired of hearing all of the coaches in the bleachers. Someone like Coach Scholfield obviously knows what he's doing, so why don't you leave the guy alone and quit trying to place the loss on his shoulders.

You know if Dixon is able to hit 15 three pointers they are going to be dang tough that will happen in Dixon town but if that game was played anywhere but in Dixon this would have been a game.
