Good afternoon everybody here is my wrap up from Saturday's Cassville at Richland game as well as my catching up on Frisco League action from Friday night.
Cassville 77 Richland 88
The fans that attended the Richland Cassville games witnessed one of the most dramatic collapses that I can remember as Cassville blew a thirteen point lead in the fourth and were outscored 28-4 in the last five minutes of the game giving the Bears the 88-77 victory. In the first quarter the Wildcats were able to use their size and some Richland foul problems to jump out to a 24-16 lead after one. In the second Richland would find their offensive groove but the only problem was they couldn't defense the Cassville size and the Wildcats would outscore them 21-19 to make it a 45-35 ball game at the intermission. The third quarter would again see Cassville outscoring the Richland 19-18 in another high scoring frame and it would be the Wildcats leading it 64-53 after three. The fourth would be all Richland as the Wildcats would collapse from the Bears pressure which wasn't anything different then earlier in the game. At one point in the fourth Cassville would lead by 13 with roughly five minutes to go when the Wildcat's meltdown would occur. Richland would force turnover after turnover and would outscore the Wildcats 28-5 to close the game and snatch a win out of the jaws of defeat. Those never say die Richland Bears move to 13-6 on the year.
