I have to say the Saturday I had the privilage of going up to the Show Me State games (Track) and coaching two great Dixon athletes in Chris Brown and Travis Newberry. They both competed in several events and brought home several medals from this event. The Show me games are divided up in to age divisions
Result for Travis Newberry (17-18 year old)
Second Place 100m dash--11.5 First Place Long Jump--19'1" First Place Triple Jump--35'5" First Place 200m Dash--24.3
Results for Chris Brown (19-29 year old) Second Place Triple Jump--39'5" First Place High Jump--7'0" First Place 400m Hurdles--1:05 First Place Javelin--108'9" 4x100m First Place--45.9 (He ran with a couple of St.Louis guys and he did very well)
They were both very fun to work with and I hope that next season more Frisco Leaguers will go and compete at the Show me games.

Yeah, I was at the State meet and I watched KB Brace as he ran in the 200m dash. I actually talked to him and congatulated him on the great seasons he was having in track and the one he had in basketball. He was very modest about all the things he had done. It was very refreshing to meet such a nice young man. I ran in track every year that i was in school and my Best was a 22.8.(7th at state my sophmore season) He comes out and runs a 22.7 as "a rookie"......I'm jealous......LOL I'm starting to believe that the talent (in boys) is getting better younger and younger. It is kinda crazy
The Frisco League was also well represented at the Gerald Pilz and Friends all Star basketball game at Branson.
In the Girls game there were five Frisco leaguers elected to go. They were.... White team Alexee Denbow could not play due to injuries Skye Wade....5 Micah Gorman Kayla Houston
Red Team Brittaney Maggard....4
The girls game ended up being a 'tie' because a girl got hurt in the last frame.
The boys had 3 three elected but only two played becuae Brace was out of the country.
White Team Wesley Shaw....2 Chris Brown.......12
The White team lost four mini-games to one, It was kind of wierd because they didn't actually play a real game.
