The Rangers pulled off another Frisco League Tournament win this year with a 5-3 vicotry over Dixon last night. Riley Halley started the game for the Rangers and pitched a heck of a game with 6 of the first 7 outs via the strikeout. The game was scoreless until the 3rd when Iberia started with a lead off double for Zack Roark, who had 2 big hits, followed by some small ball to manufacture a run. The Bulldogs started the 4th with a lead off double of their own as they get 1 run to tie it up. Iberia scored another run to give them the 2-1 advantage into the top of the 6th. Halley got the first batter out but then gave back to back homeruns to Dixon who took the lead 3-2. Darrien Dickey then came in for his first appearence of the season. Dickey struck the next 2 batters out giving some momentum into the bottom of the 6th. Dixon brought in a right handed pitcher after staying with the lefty for previous innings. Iberia jumped on him early and often scoring 3 in the bottom half of the inning, mostly due to defensive errors. Darrien came out in the top of the seventh and started with a walk. Then a hit, but the runner on first tried to stretch to third but Zach Pemberton gunned him down for the first out. With one out and one on second, Darrien stuck the next two out giving the Rangers the FLT Championship.
